Joon scooter activities are designed for ages 18 and up.
Riders 18 years of age or older do not need a driver’s license.
Riders 14- to 17- years of age are welcomed but only as co-pilots. They must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.
Participants 13 years of age or younger are welcomed but only as co-pilots. They must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. Young child seats are not available.
NOTE: If you don’t know how to ride a bicycle, this activity is not a good match. You may, however, ride as a co-pilot. Contact us if you have questions.
No pregnant women due to fall risk.
Not recommended for guests with mobility or balance issues.
If you book a tour and do not show minimal riding skills you will either be given a refund or offered the co-pilot seat (for instance, with our tour guide or your traveling companion, if you are traveling with another person, will ride with you on the same scooter).

The scooters Joon uses for tours are legally classified as power-assisted bicycles. This means that they are bound by the same laws that apply to traditional bikes, not motorcycles or cars.

Read and sign all sightseeing tour documents and waiver release.
Wear a helmet (it is required by law) and complete our free and easy training.
You must respect road signs, pedestrians, bikes, and cars for a safe enjoyable ride.
Any damage done to the scooter or other property is the responsibility of the rider.

No, you don’t need a driver license if you are over 18 years old. However, you must show valid photo IDs and proof of age (driver’s licence, Sunlife card, passport, etc.) upon departure. In Quebec and Ontario, Joon electric scooters are legally classified as power-assisted bicycles. This means that they are bound by the same laws that apply to traditional bikes, not motorcycles or cars.

It’s a good idea to book a few days in advance, but you are always welcome, even at the last minute. If you want to join at the last minute, please contact us to see if we can fit you in.
Reservation. Booking can be completed online, by phone, or in person. All bookings must be prepaid.
Modification. You may cancel or modify your reservation without penalties. Please contact us directly. Remember to provide our team with the details of your previous reservation. A confirmation of cancellation or modification will be sent to you by email, chat, SMS or confirmed over the phone. This confirmation will give the amount of your reimbursement and any amounts charged to you. Credit will be refunded back to the original payment method within 10 days.
New reservations are subject to availabilities and rates.
Cancellation. Joon has a free cancellation policy. You'll receive a full 100% refund even for last minute cancellations. You have up to 3 months after your tour date to request a refund.
Refund Methods and Delay. You'll be refunded to the same payment method you used for your booking. We process approved refunds within 10 business days. Once the refund is issued on our end, your bank or credit card provider can take up to 15 business days to issue the funds back to your account. It can also take longer if you're with a non-Canada or non-US bank. If your refund hasn’t appeared after 15 days, please contact your bank directly and ask about pending refunds on your account. You can provide them the transaction ID that appears in the refund receipt as a reference.
Third Party Bookings. If you booked through a third-party site such as Airbnb, Viator, Get your Guide and the like, you will have to reach out to the third party for any change to your booking and adhere to their policies.

Yes, we do. Although it’s intuitive, nobody is born knowing how to operate a scooter. That is why we offer 10-20 minutes of training to get you on the road. We will practice until everyone feels comfortable and ready to ride. Note that training time varies by group size and skill level. For those who haven’t ridden in a big city, we can adapt any of the itineraries shown to suit you as much as possible.
The recap is not part of the overall tour time. Please arrive 20-30 minutes prior to your tour departure time.

Flip-flops, open-toe sandals, and high-heel footwear is not recommended. You're otherwise free to dress however you like. Helmets are required and will be provided.
Joon's tours run rain or shine and we have plenty of rain ponchos. If weather is completely unsuitable (i.e. unsafe and dangerous), we may have to postpone, reschedule, or cancel the tour. Please provide the most reliable contact information (mobile or email) for us to get in touch with you. If we have to cancel due to weather, we will refund the full prepaid amount.
